Toweringmedia packages are served from the licensed Composer repository https://composer.toweringmedia.com/. General installation notes that apply to every Toweringmedia extension are in the installation guide.

Package naming note

The storefront product is named SEO WebP Image Optimizer, but the Composer package is toweringmedia/module-seo-images-webp and the Magento module is Toweringmedia_SeoImagesWebp. The install command above uses the real package name.

Configuration

Basic usage and what to expect

  1. Confirm WebP support exists in your PHP image library before enabling.
  2. Enable storefront delivery, flush cache, then load a category page and check in browser dev tools that catalog images are served as WebP.
  3. Run the WebP Optimizer for CMS and media library assets separately — those are not part of the catalog image cache.
